It was delightful to see all Zwelihle and various other Counsellors attending this important meeting.

There were introductions and credentials presented of present members in the banqueting hall & MS Teams. An example of the meeting invitation was also presented and it was confirmed that Overstrand Municipality is in receipt of the majority of the signed ones.

Overstrand Municipal made some progress in inviting 4 representatives from Schulphoek who had joined the meeting.

Unfortunately one of the representatives from Schulphoek claimed to be not ready for the social compact, whereupon Michelle Sepepa and Simphiwe Tebele stated that we continue with the meeting and elect a Chairperson as per the agenda. The Schulphoek representatives walked out of the meeting.

The status of the social compact was discussed and Terms of Reference presented. Everyone has until Monday morning, 8:00am on 7th June 2021 to provide their suggestions / input.

Lindiwe Ntshabo was elected The Chairman of the Greater Hermanus Stakeholder Committee.

Due to time restraints matters including Subdivision of Workgroups and Project Update and Programme were postponed until the evening of Monday 7th June 2021.
